Everything about android tablet pc [slatedroid]

Look what just showed up on Rightware’s Power Board benchmark site… it’s the much-rumored and highly-anticipated Google Nexus tablet. It’s showing up as the Google Asus Nexus 7 with a resolution of 768 x 1280 (that’s a portrait orientation, common for 7-inch tablets). It’s also sporting an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A9 CPU.

Our friends at AndroidPolice uncovered more information in the form of some raw data:

"os":  {
  "android":  {
    "model":  "Nexus  7",
    "hardware":  "grouper",
    "manufacturer":  "asus",
    "device":  "grouper",
    "brand":  "google",
    "display":  "XXXXXX-userdebug  4.1  JRN51B  3XXXXX  dev-keys",
    "version_sdk":  "4.1",
    "board":  "grouper",
    "version_code":  "1"
   }
}

This data tells us the device code name is “grouper”, which is consistent with the fish-naming convention Google has used in the past for Nexus devices (G1 “Trout”, Nexus One “Mahi Mahi”, Xoom “Stingray”, etc.)

The build number is shown as JRN51B and the SDK version is 4.1, meaning this could be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Of course, this is just speculation, but it’s a good bet.

Hopefully, we’ll all know for sure next month at Google I/O, where we’re hoping for a Nexus 7 announcement.
